1. New Graduates
A graduate of an institution accredited by the Council of Pharmacy
Registration Authorities (i.e. Australian and New Zealand Schools of
Pharmacy), who is not currently registered in another State or
Territory of Australia or New Zealand and who has completed, to the
satisfaction of the Board, an approved pre-registration program, can apply under the Pharmacists Registration Act 2001.

2. Pharmacists
Registered in Australia or New Zealand
Pharmacists who are
registered in another State or Territory of Australia or New Zealand
can apply under the relevant Mutual Recognition Act. An original
document, or a certified copy, evidencing current registration to
carry on the practice of pharmacy in another State or Territory
of Australia or in New Zealand must be provided.

3. Pharmacists
Registered in all Overseas Countries
Pharmacists registered
overseas (with the exception of New Zealand) are required to sit screening examinations conducted
by the Australian Pharmacy Council before practising
in Australia. You can obtain information on these examinations by

Council
Pharmacists wishing to
register in Tasmania should note that the Pharmacy Board of Tasmania
does not provide employment assistance. Any requirement for practical
training periods must be attended to personally, as should longer

4. Pharmacists
wishing to be restored to the Register
Pharmacists previously registered with the Board whose registration
has lapsed, may apply for restoration to the Register.
