The Pharmacy Board of Tasmania
GRADUATE ACCREDITATION PROGRAM 2008

CONTRACTS OF SERVICE
If you have not already done so you must return a completed copy of your contract of service to the Registrar ASAP. A copy of the contract of service can be found at page 37 of your GAP Manual (Appendix 1) and is also included in the Preceptor Manual (Appendix 5).

Please mail your completed contract of service to the Pharmacy Board at GPO Box 792 Hobart 7001. Do not fax the contract to the Board as we must receive original signatures of both the graduate and preceptor.  Remember to keep a copy of the contract for your records.

GAP FEES
The Pharmacy Board has set the GAP fees for 2008 at $1950. You will be sent an invoice for this amount in early March and payment is due by 30 June 2008.  Payment may be made by cheque, money order, cash or BPay.  Please note that the Board can not accept payment by credit card.

Your GAP fees cover all costs associated with the organisation and presentation of the pre-registration year except for the following:

1. Fees associated with obtaining a First Aid Certificate level II.

2. Should you need to re-sit either the APCAT or NFEC exams, you will be required to pay the associated fee.

3. The fee for sitting the Board exam at the end of the GAP year.

FEBRUARY PRECEPTOR/GRADUATE WORKSHOP
The second Preceptor/Graduate workshop focuses on adult learning and will be conducted by Elizabeth Thomas.  Both tutors will be in attendance to assist with the workshop and will also be available to talk through any issues or concerns you may have.

To get the most from this workshop, you should come prepared to contribute and participate actively in the group sessions. Remember attendance is compulsory, so make sure you have the date marked in your diary.

TUTOR VISITS
Tutor visits will commence in March.  Clinical tutors Jane and Cynthia are both available through email and phone (see side bar for details) so if you have an urgent matter that can't wait either send an email or leave a phone message.  Please make sure you put GAP 2008 in the subject line when emailing.
