Permissible

examination but may NOT contain
annotations, hand
written notes, or
loose additional
notes.
Copies of
permissible
reference material
will not be
available at testing
venues; neither will
candidates be able
to share reference
material so please
make sure you bring
them with you.
Remember you need to
bring a current form
of photo ID such as
a drivers license on
the day - and don't
forget your
calculator
(non-programmable,
battery operated and
without an alphabet
keyboard).

Board office no
later than 5.00pm on
Monday 25 August
2008.
Emailed copies will
not be accepted.
We recommend you use
an express post
envelope so it can
be traced.
Please ensure your Preceptor
has signed the front
cover of your
assignment before
you submit it.

SEPTEMBER WORKSHOPS:
1 - 3 SEPTEMBER 2008
The timetable for
the September block
workshops is
attached to allow
you to research the
session topics. You
should have some
questions prepared
for the speakers and
you are expected to
complete evaluations
and learning
journals for each
session.
The workshops are a
valuable time for
you to interact with
your peers and share
stories and
experiences, as well
as talk through any
issues, concerns or
'good news stories'
with the Clinical
Tutors.
SUBMISSION OF
PORTFOLIOS The closing date for submission
of portfolios is Friday 10 October 2007. Remember
a successful assessment of your portfolio forms part of
your eligibility to sit the Board Exam. Your completed
portfolio should contain:
1.
A
brief introduction; 2. Two Self Learning Projects
developed and signed by you and your preceptor; 3.
Twenty Reflective Learning Experience forms, providing
evidence on all the of the competency units and signed
by your preceptor; 4. Interim assessment and feedback
session documentation 5. Supporting evidence
including,
first aid certificate, certificates of
attendance at workshops, evidence of the completion of
Pharmacy Self Care online learning modules, evidence of
completion of
Blackmore's
Online Learning
modules and evidence
of attendance at any other workshops, forums or
seminars. 6. Conclusion.
BOARD EXAMS - Monday 3
November & Tuesday 4 November
The Board
examinations will be held at the Board Offices, Level 2,
24 Murray Street Hobart on Monday 3 November and Tuesday
4 November 2007. This
will be an oral exam of approximately 90 minutes duration. You
will be advised closer to the date, by mail of the day
and time
you are required to attend.
PSA
COCKTAIL PARTY
The end of year cocktail party with the
Minister for Health and Human Services, the Hon Lara
Giddings, will take place on Wednesday 5 November 2008.
This event is organised for
Graduates by the PSA to celebrate completion of the GAP
year and you and you preceptors
will receive your
invitations in the mail directly from PSA.
